Kurt Soderling - Movie Photographer
Kurt Soderling has enjoyed a very successful career as a director of photography of aerial units and second units in the feature film and television business for 15 years. He is one of ten men in the world authorized to use the Spacecam Camera System. He also has extensive hands on experience with Wescam, Cineflex, Cable Cam, Tyler, Continental, Astrovision, and a number of other very specialized camera systems.
His accomplishments in cinematography are easily seen through over 100 feature film and television credits that include Independence Day, Seabiscuit, Meet the Fockers, Armageddon, Titanic, Pearl Harbor, CSI, The Shield, and 24. Kurt made his feature film debut as an aerial cinematographer with the 1994 movie “The River Wild”.
Kurt has worked one on one with the top directors such as: Steven Spielberg, Tony Scott, Jim Cameron, Mike Nichols, Barry Sonnefeld, Curtis Hanson, Robert Zemeckis and Michael Bay.
Kurt recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from his alma mater, Chapman University, for his achievements in film and television. He resides in Orange County, California with his wife, Melinda, and their two children.
